Golgfag's mechanic seems pretty impressive

Judging by what's been said about Golgfag's mechanic I imagine it could almost be a blueprint for the game as a whole. Allowing the freedom to get involved with a mechanic for a certain amount of time and just leave it when not in the mood. It would also allow and motivate the player to play to the best of their ability to gain financial rewards and even powerful buffs and highly specialised items. It would challenge the player to attempt to achieve highly difficult strategies to achieve unique rewards, motivating the player to play at the edge of their ability when in the mood to be challenged.

I imagine something similar with Queek, in terms of his relationship with Gnawdwell. he could initial ask Queek to gain Dwarf holds within a certain time limit, by gaining a hold he gain money, however, by gaining 2 he gets money and a Ironskins RoR (based on a regiment that stole armour from Dwarf holds owned by Belegar), and by taking 8 Peaks he also gets Ikk Hackflay, a LH who buffs Red Guard and works in tandem with Ska Bloodtail, to fully buff a Queek/Stormvermin army. The gifts and secret/high difficulty goals could be balanced in many ways but, it would certainly motivate to try different achievements and ways of winning.

This seems similar to Golgfag's mechanic, the more work he does for Empire, for example, the better rewards he receives such as pay and unique weapons/gifts. I dislike the Ogres at the moment but, if it is anything like the above then, it could make this campaign a really interesting one. I really hope they get it right and I'm really looking forward to this DLC.

It is a bit surprising CA didn’t take 3K’s superior mercenary mechanics from the start when they made the Ogres. While it certainly fits Golgfag the most, it’s a bit unclesr if  the wider Ogres will share the same system. Hopefully they will have access to a similar version, and likewise with the Dogs of War.

If it is as advertised he will make the original 2 seem even worse and he will turn into the Ikit of the Ogre community.
