Daemon Princes and Exalted Daemons, like the Vampire Count bloodlines lords, should get immortality as soon as they get ascended from a herald or mortal lord.

I'd like that. Even if it changed so you had to had to reach level 20 first to ascend.

Yeah, give them immortality, but let's make their recovery take 1000 turns because that's how long it takes before a daemon may return to the material world.

Excellent idea which would also give you time to unlock and use their special top skills like the +10% physical resistance to chaos warriors and see if you want to keep them or ascend them which would then give them immortality immediately.
