I think the issue is that they want the avatars to be the 3D renders of the characters, and frankly 3K has some kinda iffy renders. Amazing character art, and I'd absolutely rock Cao Cao's art(or heck, any number of 3K characters) but it maybe doesn't fit. Still, I'd definitely like to see it.

Apologies for disturbing the dead (thread) but I couldn't agree more. I didn't recognise ANY of the avatars when picking them (Warhammer isn't my thing, and I didn't like the look of Pharaoh), and the legacy games are so iconic... Not just 3K but also Rome and all the rest.
