Marked Beastmen in the future? (just a wish)

So we already got some marked beastmen for our rosters, which are Tzaangors, Pestigors, Khorngors, Khornataurs, Tzeentchian Centigors and probably Slaangors and something else in the future, but what about generic lords and heroes? CoC DLC brought a very nice rework for WoC with the marked system, so we could reuse that mechanic for our lords and heros just like this (this hero is from the Tamurkhan DLC):

This could be a thing, maybe not as a DLC but perhaps as an exclusive cheap content pack for variaty. And could be possible i mean Taurox is a Khornate character we could have marked beastmen leading our armies and spreading the corruption of a certain god or undivided, they are pure chaos itself. And of course we would have access to tzeentch, slaanesh and nurgle magics!

Also, if something works why not take note of that. Chorfs are a good example, since then many races are getting more structured and funny to play. The WoC Marked System and the Path to Glory mechanic  are both good mechanics for Beastmen (in particular for the reason of this discusion) and for Norsca respectively (i just thought about this one perhaps for a future discussion after the new DLC)

I still want Tzaangor Bray-Shaman with Lore of Beasts for Tzeentch. Give him access to a Disc of Tzeentch. I want my blue Tzaangors with Avian features. Warhammer Fantasy is a "dead" IP so it's Beastmen dung as to why we can't have them. Add in Tzaangor Archers on Discs of Tzeentch and we have 2 units and a hero for a very cool sub race.


It's ridiculous that 40K and AoS can have blue Avian Tzaangors but Fantasy can't.

I'm not convinced BM LLs should be in the monogod roster though. I like the idea that we have one BM Lord per God, but giving them to monogods is a bit of stretch since BM are not supposed to be favored by the gods and hence cannot really benefit from any allegiance.

Marked lords would not take much to implement, still BM need to be a player in the campaing map or else you'll never see it.

Malagor isn't Tzeentch in the slightest. Watch the lorebeards stream about him, he is fully undivided. This is a pointless discussion anyways.... CA will never move Malagor to Tzeentch and they made clear that BM are just fodder units for the Monos and nothing beyond that.

He's the most powerful BM spellcaster, and he's part bird.  That makes him Tzeentch-coded.


Meanwhile, Moonclaw is also a spellcaster(albeit a weak one), he's insanely mutated, and comes from the moon.  So, also potentially Tzeentch-coded.

Right, centigor lords/heroes are indeed a must and would give some needed diversity to BM generic characters.

Being a Spellcaster doesn't make you Tzeentch. Please watch the Lorebeards episode about him. Andy Law specifically explained why Malagor is 100% undivided and combines themes and aspects from all the 4 gods.

Marked lords would not take much to implement, still BM need to be a player in the campaing map or else you'll never see it.

CA could implement them in the random beastmen armies that spawn randomly.

My best case for marked beastmen, that could realistically be done by CA, would be the following:

Centigors of Slaanesh

Minotaurs of Slaanesh


The system for marking characters and units already exists for the WoC and I hope they re-use it for the Beastmen.

Don't think so. CA and GW made the one first step towards this with making Tzeentch Centigors and lore-wise there are marked Beastmen leading herds (especially on the Minotaur side for Gore and Doombulls).

So it's a matter of time before Beastmen will get their own CoC-style DLC with a number of marked unit, hero and lord variants.

Not to mention that they could go farther and even give us stuff like marked chariots, more marked Centigors...even go so far as to even give us marked Wargors, Bray-Shamans, Beastlords, Great Bray-Shamans.

Hell, in case of the last one I would like to see them actually be capable of taking the mark of Khorne that would make them more competent melee fighters with the same abilities as the Bloodspeaker at the cost of loosing the ability to use magic. That would be a nice thing to do...though if they'd decide to go this way, they should allow regular Bray-Shamans this option too.

Then again I'm still waiting for Khornates to get a normal Khorne Priest hero and WoC also getting a way to get the Bloodspeakers (they could allow Sorcerer Lords to take the mark of Khorne and turn into Bloodspeakers).

But that's just my P.O.V.

Hopeful but, this would be the dream. It would complete the Beastmen and allow these units to be recruited by monos, dependent on corruption levels.
