We're supposed to get 6.1 before the end of this month.  And we haven't heard anything about it yet.

They've said nothing about the patch 6.1 yet, we have absolutely no idea when it's supposed to come.

previously, we got a little video a little over two months after the ToD, so we might get something later this month. No real reason to start panicking or doomposting again.

They'll be 'on time/schedule' if we hear something this month. Then it would be comparable to the post-ToD timeframe.

So, quite curious if they'll uphold the standard.

I am guessing this is a joke. We got a hotfix less than a week ago and it has been only a month and a half since the last DLC.

January is pretty much a blank spot anyways. They're on holiday for like half of the month and then coming back they have to get together and chart the new course and what not, then get to start creating that.

It would be nice to have something this week. But most likely something week 2 or 3 of February.

Patch notes aren't communication.  And there's no reason to go more than a month without addressing the community directly.

They probaly will talk about how bad ood was receive and tell us what they gonna change for the last mono dlc
wouldn`t be even suprise if that make the dlc comes later as expected (still think spring)

Why was it badly received? Aren´t you reading a little too much into forum chatter and steam reviews?

I can safely say: I enjoyed OoD a lot and still am!

No, not at all, the standard of communication has been better than this. I’ve no idea when we are getting info about the next DLC, nothing has been said.

In game 2 we knew what was coming because the releases were so standardised. At the moment we have an idea of the next DLC with no info.

TGBoGs stated that the feedback he received from staff in terms of sales were good, they had little concern and felt it sold well.

I imagine they take lessons from each release as a standard process.

Well I think compared to other DLC, rightly or wrongly, this one has a hard line divide.

In other conversations, again rightly or wrongly, we see people clash on the concepts of "narrative lore delivery" vs "loreful implementation in TW".

My personal frustration on the last DLC is having paid into this franchise, bought all games and DLC, no RoC and no narrative driven campaign to feed me lore is a huge drawback. But I am a warhammer fan first, I have tried other TW games, not enjoyed, I enjoy warhammer TW.

From what I can tell, OoD was really good for TW big map fans. So loreful implementation, but without that little bit of narrative driven quests that we have seen in the past, and in my opinion perfected with elspeth which was true "empire only" campaign, I think the last DLC drew a hard line.

Anyway, that is my view of the DLC, the forum and steam chatter etc. what I have kind of read, very much a dividing marmite release. I think it was a really good faction release, but without that narrative campaign side, a lot of people (myself included) just could not resonate with it.

January has always been a silent month with CA, I certainly hope we will get a new devblog this month or at least some kind of news (outside of hotfixes) but I would not expect that before the end of the month however.

WH3 has never been stable enough to become standardised. It was delayed on launch (admittedly by Covid) and every release except ToD has faced major or semi-major controversies, during a pretty much 2 year long bout of ultimately failed DLC-experimentation. It is just now, that the ToD-model has been established and CA's plans realigned accordingly that we even have a chance to be as standardised as WH2. Also, the timeline is longer now, so it would only be natural for the updates to be further between, especially around the big holiday break.

I don’t think all the DLCs threw up a ‘major’ controversy, just SoC.

I also think they have a plan of what they’re doing, open communication has never been a negative.
