Hello. I just wanted to leave this as I've just bought the game and jumped into immortal empires as Archaon.. and to my surprise I have noticed all my old favourite warriors of chaos/ beastmen campaign and battle music has been replaced with music which seems like it is meant for the new factions dedicated to specific chaos gods.

I think the old music really added to the immersion of playing the warriors of chaos & beastmen.. And playing as Archaon now in Warhammer 3 I can't help but feel like something is missing, and a bit saddened, as if the warriors of chaos have lost their "oomph".​ 

Does anyone else feel the same way I do about this? Is this something CA are aware of and plan to change? Or are things set in stone?

I am giving you an upvote as I am on team music is important, especially for first impressions. The faction you mentioned I couldn't really care about, and while it is a bit late (as the last DLC is not seemingly focusing on narrative and Realms of Chaos Map) I would say the fact you have seen to raise this (given all the other issues that exist at the moment) shows slippage in the game. I get why this would slip, but it could be taken as an omen of bad times, like too many issues to finesse if you like.

Music is part of immersion, warhammer requires your imagination to fulfil the game on tabletop, and on TW as well, music enables that so I fully understand your view here. So when playing table top for example, outsiders see it as "you roll dice and move miniatures about", players (at least I do) make a video in their head of what is happening. That also happens in Total War Warhammer for me, as I am moving about, managing the battle, I am still picturing actions like the table top, and music enables that.

I myself have literally just done the opposite move to you, uninstalled TW3 in favour of TW2 (not saying 3 is a bad game, just I have my reasons that benefit me for going back for the time being).

But yeah, music does have value here!

I agree that this needs to be put back in.

Beastman soundtrack is iconic, can`t say the same for monogods (it is just the same song for every faction).

This might be a recurring bug. A lot of other people have commented on this for a long time now. Eg here.

Before CA launched the new way to report bugs I posted a bug report similar to your post about how music from WH1 and WH2 didn't play much whenever I played a campaign with factions from those two games. All I was getting was boring, generic WH3 Chaos music on a loop. CA replied saying it was a known issue and did actually fix this around a year ago for the Empire, High Elves, and some others.

Just like post-battle voicelines and province panel artwork, the old music needs to be brought back.

I also think a new ones need to be added if I remember the empire for instance does not have negative/positive PO and capture voicelines.

I know I'm late, but I posted my thread about this 7 months ago and was speaking about it elsewhere since Immortal Empires released! CA have said in my thread that these songs WILL be added back (not in the upcoming patch), I just hope we all live long enough to see that day!
