​CA should include a Vortex mechanic as well as RoC, both in the Immortal Empire campaign


Especially a shame that we wont get to interact with the beautiful RoC maps, i love the role play value of going into the realms to combat the Chaos gods for potential immense rewards, the risk needs to be very very high though

RoC would add more content. What would Vortex add? CA should make an actual Vortex mechanic in IE, giving Destruction races an ability to unravel the Vortex itself.

Role-playing in the Warhammer world would mean everyone venturing into the RoC without the god's approval should die in a horrible way and have their soul eternally chewed on by whichever chaos god they offended.

I'd much prefer the northeast part of the map used for steppe and chaos waste territory that more races will be involved with, rather than 4 disconnected realms hardly anyone will actually go to

This is the way. There should be more world-wide events depending on the status of particular regions. Though with some factors to account for if you’re playing a far-flung faction that doesn’t have much chance to interact with said settlement.


Also a Pillars of Civilisation system.

Some mechanics specific to certain regions would be nice. Take the Hostility from Markus Wulfhart and slap it on the Chaos Wastes, any non Chaos factions fighting there will increase the hostility which will spawn Monogod armies. Chaos Wastes are supposed to be quite hellish but the worst you get is some attrition you ignore with raiding/encampment stance.

You know, the new Chaos updates to TOW map actually have me thinking about that.


If you look at the northernmost landmarks on that map, a bunch of them are actually locations from the Chaos Realms, not the Chaos Wastes.  Locations like the Forge of Souls, The Wrathgate or The Septic Isles are actually located on TOW map.  I assume this is meant to convey how the Chaos Realms bleed directly into the Chaos Wastes.


But it also had me thinking, what if the Chaos Realms weren't portrayed as separate dimensions in IE, but as a continuation of the Chaos Wastes, the way they are in TOW.

Anyone play Civilization? In the last version they had scenarios you could turn on for a map. So you could just be pure traditional sandbox map mode or something extra. Modes and slider bars are overall needed for this game on a great many things.

Yeah, my suggestion was always that we need big world events. Also the realms of chaos! 

With Portals on the north and south wastes. Including with an endgame event "the end of the world".


In my opinion the monogod races should not die permanently if they killed in the world. They should just take a break and then starts again from their realm. So you have a constant demon threat from the realms until you can close the portals. 


Sure maybe people complaining about the Realms. Its no problem, make it optional like the endgame events. So all are happy :)


 Yeah there are so many possible ways. Maybe they can add the vortex gameplay too. If ulthuan fall the vortex can't actually hold anymore the winds of magic any longer back in the RoC. So they collaps and the portals spawns in the north and south wastes.

The last thing this game needs is even less consequences for losing, unless you want this for AI factions only.

Id say let the Daemon rogue armies spawn endlessly from this. Playable factions should be killable.
