Missing OoD Units and Implementation

While I’m really excited for Omens of Destruction, I’m also a little disappointed that some units got left out. The Greenskins, Khorne, and the Ogre Kingdoms aren’t really missing enough unique units to justify a spot in another lord pack after this, so this was the opportunity to get them all in. I’m not too worried about missing characters because those can be added as FLC LLs and LHs, even if CA said they’re not doing LLs in the big patches in between DLCs.

Here are the units I wish had been added in addition to what we got and how I’d implement them. These are all just suggestions, especially the proposed prices. If you think I missed anything, or you’d do something different, let us know.

Greenskins: Snotlings, Squig Gobbas, and Big Stabbas

99112709001_OGTSnotlingSwarms02.jpg

Snotlings: 100 gold Recruitment Cost, 25 gold Upkeep, Tier 1, 160 unit count on Ultra unit size, Expendable, Meat Shield, low Leadership, and overall weak melee infantry armed with daggers and such.

squiggobba.jpg

Squig Gobbas: 850 Recruitment Cost, 200 Upkeep, Tier 3, 4 unit count of on Ultra, spits out exploding squigs, has a lot lower range than Doom Diver Catapults and does less ranged damage, but also has an active ability called something like "Lotsa 'splodin' Squigs" that summons a 20-unit “Exploding Squigs (Squig Gobba)” within the normal range of the Squig Gobbas that explodes after 30 seconds of being able to fight and be controlled and each one would also explode when killed, and lastly the Squig Gobbas would have Decent Melee Combatant. The active ability summon animation can either show the Squig Gobbas machine gun-spitting the squigs out one after another in rapid succession or shotgun-blasting them all out in one big belch.

bigstabba.jpg

Big Stabbas: 700 Recruitment Cost, 155 Upkeep, Tier 2 or 3, 24 Ultra unit count, has less Melee Attack, Melee Defense, and Speed than Savage Orc Big ‘Uns but has a higher Charge Bonus, as well as higher Base and Armour-Piercing Damage, and has Anti-Large, Armour-Piercing, and Siege Attacker. Also has Warpaint, with 0 Armour and 25% Physical Resistance like any other savage orcs. Their ideal use would be to cycle charge them against large enemy units already bogged down in combat. They can have an active ability where it gives them a Speed, Charge Bonus, Charge Speed, and damage boost for about 20 seconds, but they must be out of combat to activate it. It can be called something simple, silly, and “orcy,” like “Rush ‘em n’ Stab ‘em!” It should have a cooldown of like 90 seconds or something so that it can’t be spammed.

Ogre Kingdoms: Gnoblar Manbiters

Manbiters_M01.jpg

Gnoblar Manbiters: 400 Recruitment Cost, 90 Upkeep, Tier 1, 160 Ultra unit count, Expendable, Meat Shield, Poor Leadership, Armour-Piercing, a little bit better stats in Melee Attack, Base Damage, Armour-Piercing Damage, Melee Defense, and Armour than regular Gnoblars.

Khorne: Blood Chariots of Khorne

bloodchariots.jpeg

Blood Chariots of Khorne: Chariots pulled by Juggernauts and crewed by 2 Bloodletters each. 1400 Recruitment Cost, 350 Upkeep, Tier 4, 4 Ultra unit count, stats higher than Gorebeast Chariot of Khorne pretty much across the board, Daemonic, Magical Attacks, Armour-Piercing, Anti-Infantry, Causes Fear, Armoured, Hellblade, Banished!, and Daemonic Instability. Tradeoff of going with Blood Chariots of Khorne instead of Gorebeast Chariots of Khorne would be that since they’re Daemonic, they also have Daemonic Instability, whereas the Gorebeast Chariot doesn’t.

I think Gnoblar Manbiters and Blood Chariots of Khorne are perfect free units for major patches. I hope we get these two units sooner or later.

The Greenskins still have enough material for another DLC. There is also the Bonegrinder Giant, which could serve as a big centerpiece unit.

You know, I think you’re right, that would be a good way to introduce them.

We would just need 1 more unit to bring it up to 5 units for another Greenskins DLC. What should that be, Gigantic Spider Riders, or something else? The LL would probably be Morglum Necksnapper, since Snaggla Grobspit is a LH now and, unless Gorbad Ironclaw gets moved, Gorfang Rotgut doesn’t look too likely since Gorbad starts right there in The Badlands. Morglum can be the cavalry-focused LL that buffs up all of the boar, spider, and squig riding units, maybe.

Disagree with the statement that greenskins don´t have enough for a dlc. You missed gigantic spiders, for example.

Gigantic Spiders are a character mount, not a unit.  You can't miss something that never existed.

Edit: Nevermind, I was thinking of the Giant Spiders.
Still, there's nothing stopping CA from just making them a unit.

All 3 of the Beast Master LL's have them as units, they are already in the game.

Giant Spiders and Gigantic Spiders are two different things.

In Storm of Magic, its a separate unit:

I'd absolutely love to see Snotlings on the field. Would be a dream come true to finally get them, they're way too low key with them just being on the pump wagons, snotties are an important part of the race!

Hmm, fair enough.  Though it has no riders there.

we really need to get at least 2 variants of the different monogors, along with adding Khornataurs to beastmen, and stuff like Night Goblin Spears and Savage Orc Spears (no Shields) and Savage Orc Big 'Uns Greatweapons
