Me coming back from my forum hiatus just to see that CA never changes.

Well, I'm not buying 2/3 of the DLC then, good thing I can buy the Ogre side separately.

I know right. It's so stupid that CA keeps taking army leaders and rulers and making them bottom ****es to generic level 1 chaos lord

Personally I'm done eating CAs BS in that regard, from now on I only buy the DLC sides I 100% like character wise.

This time around that means only Ogres.

Skarr was probably supposed to be leading the second Khorne DLC under the original roadmap and then became the victim when CA decided to go with these bumper DLCs (probably the same thing happened to the Golden Knight).

I’m not that bothered, Skarr never seemed very interesting mechanically. But then I think a Scylla campaign would’ve been fun.

There are characters that genuinely have no business leading armies but should still be added to the game, people like Bragg and Kayzk, for example.

But instead of actually pondering and choosing suitable options, CA seems to just run with the first name they come across.

I'm completely fed up in that regard, which is why I'm only buying the Ogre side.

I think it's also a case of having no intention to give Khorne more content ever again and putting a nice bow on it, from their perspective they probably think they're squeezing every last drop out of the DLC they can. I'm not a fan of saying that "so and so never would've been a LL so at least they're in as a LH" until the game is officially done making DLC, but all the clues are there that this DLC was a now or never kind of thing for Khorne characters.

Except Skarr could have been a FLC LL down the line, heck, it would have made perfect sense for Skarr to be the FLC LL this time around with Arbaal being another FLC LL down the line.

I agree that Khorne is most likely not getting a second DLC, but there were ways to have both Arbaal and Skarr as LLs even in hat scenario.

No disagreement here. Just got that impression from this DLC package. Ironically I couldn't care less about Skarr before now but now that I see his model he looks pretty sick, an FLC would've been swell.

If it comes down to more DLC or FLC, then CA still has more characters they could add. There is no reason they should sleep on stuff like Abrax or Kaarn. But yeah, I totally agree CA could have done a more narrow selection instead of making characters with LL potential heroes.

That wouldn't work, considering his ties to Skullreapers and Wrathmongers. So he has to be part of the DLC one way or another.

Who are you?

Anyway, yeah. Unless a race has 6 LLs already I want any new characters to be a LL, or at the very least a dual LL/LH which we know they can do.

They still have to design mechanics for characters like these, unless they will be placeholders for an alternate start, like we used to have in W1, with recruiting lords like Volkmar with buildings etc.

They're an old forum member. Much more active on the old forum then this one.

I concur broadly with the sentiment of mixed Legendary Heroes/Legendary Lords.

Yeah, not correct that. Rakarth wasnt added along Beastmasters, Malus was added instead. He also had the monster recruitment rite, which makes no sense for him to have.

CA doesnt follow these arbitrary line ups people claim them to do.

We literally have TTT that gets bonuses for not 1 but 2 units that are in different DLCs, Ripperdactyls and Coatl.

Some people really has sort memories.

In some cases it works, the problem is the disparity between factions. It was never even, and now we keep seeing potential LL's being turned into them. It's super frustrating.
