Seems to me then that a good portion of the rework focus went to the Ogres then. Glad to see they’re incentivizing picking up the original Ogre DLC with a fresh spin on the original LLs. Excited to see what’s in store!

Makes sense to me. Greenskins got a rework in WH2 and don't need much more than a few tweaks, maybe 1 new mechanic, and Khorne plays almost perfectly as he is, Unholy Manifestations aside. Whereas Ogres need a top to bottom rework as their campaign isn't very engaging at all. 

A clue as to when we’d be getting another info drop for the DLC would’ve been ideal as well

They said we'd get another dev update very soon so probably early November, perhaps even next week.

Indeed, CA is famous for her literal use of "soon".

Hopefully. They also promissed unique mechanics for the CD LLs.... 

By the way, if the next news are coming in the form of a chat video, that presumably disproves the leak's claim that there's a trailer arriving at November 7. I can't imagine CA will release two videos in a matter of four days. Unless it's an expression failure from CA, similarly to how they confused items with ancillaries.

That's irrelevant to my point, though.

Not overly relying on that ‘leak’ for info, what’s important for me is they get it released this year and that still looks most likely. Although, I’m mildly disappointed they have not given us timings, like they have been doing.

I will never understand you. By your own words you don’t play any Total War game at the moment and you haven’t even bought one since Empire(?) I think. But nevertheless you read through the patch notes at least to the point where CA said they confused items with ancillaries. Why?

Greenskins core mechanics are great! What they need are individual mechanics for each LL just like the Empire.

You’re right. It skipped my brain to say, that this is an irregular marketing. It’s quite possible they drop a dev chat (possibly instead of a blog post) along with a trailer.
