Visual update of the capital cities (Altdorf, Castle Drakenhof, Naggarond...)

Since all cities have the same generic look, could we get a visual update of at least some important cities on the map in the future? Karaz-a-Karak currently has the only unique skin and I think it would be cool if they update Altdorf, Castle Drakenhof, Naggarond, Kislev etc... similar to it.

I think it would bring a huge refresh to the campaign map and wouldn't require too much work to implement.

These are examples of some reskins taken from the mod:

I alsow ant unique maps for som,e of the more iconic Cities. Most importantly for Midenheim, Altdorf, Talabheim, Nuln, Kislev, Praag, Erengrad, Lothern, K8P, Karaz-A-Karak, Naggarond, Skavenblight and Lothern.

Eh i get your hopes up. Especially now that we have a mod that does such an amazing job at it. If there ever was a plan to even think about doing something like this at CA, now there's very little incentive to move forward.

But yes, ideally it would be great. The mod already adds so much life to the map. And it's only going to get better as they will keep adding more and more skins.

Mods are still not comparable to official stuff. At the very least we should get unique battle maps for Cities where actual maps exist of. Cities that have a very specific designs. Like Middenheim, Nuln, Altdorf, Talabheim, Kislev, Praag and Erengrad.

Erengrad isn't even a port City right now when you siege it. Its just one of the reasons why Sieges suck. Kislev or Praag look exactly like Volksgrad or Fort Ostrosk. Middenheim, the biggest Bastion against Chaos, build on top of a massive mountain, looks exatly like random Cities like Akendorf or Salzenmund. It's just boring.

That side of the mod could be just copy pasted (with permission of the modders) and it would be great, but unlike CDPR where they gone to the modders and add them to the base game CA for some reason doesn't do so, meanwhile there are plenty of other basic UI mods that are amazing that can be easily implemented to vanilla experience and CA doesn't add them :(

Hopefully improving the corruption visuals and bringing it closer to dynamic world/forestry  mods would be grand (the trees look horrible in game 3).

They could update at least one city and continue like that gradually or do more of them together with the map expansion.

I've always wanted this. I've made multiple threads with these kinds of ideas. I would love for the Empire to get settlement areas that push the identity and flavour of those locations. These could be areas attached to the settlement that just give some visual flair. The Dwarfs and Cathay get a lot of it and the Empire really could have the cities below have some too.

Altdorf: an area to the side of it should have the Imperial Palace and some of the Colleges of Magic.

Talabheim: settlement should be in a crater.

Middenheim: atop a cliff with draw bridges. Huge Cannon that can be used in battle. Small skaven tunnels at its base.

Mordheim: outer perimeter surrounded by ruins.

Nuln: Have foundries with black smoke above the city.

I agree with you, as well as most of the voices here. For in fact...in a good way it is necessary not only to make unique models of key cities like Nagashizzar, Altdorf, Nuln, Kislev, Drakenhof and similar, but also to recreate more maps to betray their importance and I think that in major patches this can be realized

Because the post has been upvoted many times, here are a few more ideas...x3.png

x5.pngI think it would be great if the capital city of Bretonnia would change so that it doesn't look like Disneyland anymore

Companies usually don't ever interact with modders.  The companies' corpo lawyers will give you all sorts of legal reasons for why the gaming community is rabid and the company should only touch it with a 10-ft pole, and gaslight it as much as possible.

Yet for all the smaller friendlier companies which keep in touch with its fan community, I've only ever heard of good outcomes and never any horror stories of studios and modders sueing each other or somesuch.

Hopefully they start to adopt some things the game needs more immersion especially when compared to older titles.

I place a lot of importance on the aesthetic side of the map and I think this change would mean a lot. It is bad that ancient cities or cities that are of great importance look like local ones.

I've long asked for this. Middenheim atop the Ulricsberg with Ulrics Thunder. It should have cliff edges on the sides with only a few ways to attack from. Skaven tunnels at its base.
