My idea about one more DLC to finalise KHORNE ( Ka'Bandha DLC)

Indeed OoD improved Khorne race very well, race-wise almost perfect , but curiously if there are still enough lore-friendly contents to support one more Khorne DLC can finalise it. Honestly, I wanna more Khorne contents anyway, at least Ka'Bandha should be presented as 4th Legendary Lord, giving Khorne a stronger flying LL... (another ET Khorne character Skarr already there)


Here are my idea about one more DLC for Khorne based on 6 conditions:

1) as per 1LL, 1LH, 1GL, 1GH, 5GU, 3ROR format;

2) minimise new infantry unit slot to 1, considering too many infantries were introduced in OoD;

3) exclude any weapon variant unit or beastmen reskin unit;

4) at least 2 new daemonic units to enhance daemonic building tree/unit roster, considering none daemonic unit in OoD;

5) New RoRs avoid those units who already got RoR before;

6) Chosen type Legendary Hero missed so far, so prefer new Legendary Hero to be Chosen type to Khorne;

I would change the Giant Spined Chaos Beast and the Monnik´s Pit Fighters for Bloodcursed and Imps. Brass sisters could be another option I guess. Also, you only showed one demon unit.

The only "finishing touch" Khorne needs is to counteract the atrocious powercreep they received with the last DLC and make them actually fun to play again.

I'd do it like this:


Ka'Bandha LL (ET lore)

Haargoth the Bloodied (SoC)

Gigantic Chaos Spawn (SoM)

Chariot of Khorne (SoC)

Chaos Ogres of Khorne (8th)

Giant Spined Beast of Khorne (SoM)

Goremongers (ET lore, greatweapon variant of Skullreapers

Skin Wolves of Khorne (MA)

Giant of Khorne (8th)


If we can get some BM generics, cut the Skin Wolves and Giant.

Frankly, he could probably just get a reskinned version of Gorbad's Da Plan in a pinch. That's a pretty good representation of tactics.

I'd rather he didn't. He's an intelligent player who can form alliances and make long term plans.

Except the Chaos Gods pretty much are a single trope. Everything they do is always in service of the one theme they have been created around. You proving incapable of identifying those tropes is you failure, not mine. Khorne will always boil down to nihilistic destruction being the one all be all goal for his champions to accomplish. 


Also, major LOL at you trying to make it look like Khorne's champions have much differentiation. So Arbaal is now a "battle fighter" as opposed to Skarbrand who apparently does not fight in battles? Or Skulltaker who in fact also fights in battles and does in fact not waste all his time being the Khorne equivalent of a wimpy JW missionary? You are aware you can put Skulltaker in your armies, right?

Sure, I've never said otherwise. But different people in his employment have different ways of going about it, as evidenced by Skulltaker and Ka'Bandha.

Overinterpretation. Sure Skulltaker fights in armies, but he also goes around his own practicing Khorne's version of honourable challenge combat as his own personal MO.

Yeah. The only case where Khorne get more stuff is CA making CoC 1.5 with Marked Chaos Ogres, Marked Chaos Giants and other stuff like that. Spoiler: they won't make it

Though it would be cool if Khorne got more content, I don’t see it happening in the form of a whole DLC. CA already struggled to make many of the unit additions in OoD stand-out relative to the preexisting options. What’s suggested here seems to encounter that problem but worse, or just flat out seems like it would never be included (the heck is a Mardagg?) or should be FLC at best (Khorne Chariots).
