Is this the end for lizardmen?

I wouldn't want to start a negative here, otherwise I just won't be heard. I just can't stand the attitude of the lizard race and their fans anymore. Once upon a time, many centuries ago, CA said they planned to update them in the future, giving hope to fans of a race that has neither its own working mechanics nor a unique racial resource, all that every race in this game has. The hope that their beloved race will be reborn.

But centuries have passed, and the dwarves have been reworked several times, the empire has been reworked several times, the Greenskins, and now the Norsk, and the High Elves. I was ready to swallow it, because it gave a tiny hope that the lizards would be next in line, but now we have made it clear that in December there will be a significant "future of Warhammer 3" with its subsequent closure and termination of support, in favor of new projects. So, the lizardmen won't be given anything, not only DLC with Chakkas, Arkanadon, and so on, but they won't even be given a rework, am I right?

The fans of Brettonia, Vampires, and others are screaming the loudest, and apparently CA is listening to them. But is there a chance that the damn lizards will get the latest addition before the game closes, or at least the rework they need the most? (much more than HE, who were in perfect order before this addition and could safely wait for the future)

Warhammer 3 isn't "ending", CA have plans to update the races and make more content. Doomposting.

I agree about Lizardmen though, they should have their shot in DLC reworks.

Do DoW, then Cathay vs Vampires vs Dark Elves, then Lizardmen vs Kislev vs Tomb Kings or whoever else.

I'm sorry, but CA controls the communication and they don't want to speak about stuff like this. You gotta make another Ostankya thread.

Maybe not though? just because this loud knocking of threads puts focus on specific things. We should be thinking wider and long-term, not narrower.

I'm just edit - saying - that either CA will comment on it because they want to (i dont think so) or we have to ask them, like we did with Chaos Dwarfs, SoC or Ostankya. Do you get the pattern?

Take it from a fellow Lizard main: We will get our time in the sun. Its just a matter of being patient.

Would it make sense to have Lizardmen against Slaanesh? No it wouldn't. No, our salvation lies with Yin-Yin and the Cathayans. They aren't done after just MK, they need more reinforcements than that. And who makes the most sense to send against Yin-Yin and the Cathayan Jade Fleet. Why Lizardmen and Dark Elves of course.

Have faith brother. We may not be first in line, but we are in it. Remain strong and stoic. Have faith in the Old Ones.

There is not much to get here.

They do desperately need some love. But if there's one thing a Slann can do is wait for the great plan to unfold!

Saying that it had better be soon.

I wouldn't worry, as we were told, if there's a race with issues that we haven't heard from then just accept they are on the list and they will get to them.

being reworked several times means being broken several times, its not a boon:) They are also extremely strong and have a vast varied roster so it makes sense to not have them first in line imo....i do hope they give everything at least one more go before they end this game though

Patience. Good things comes to those who wait. Imagine Vampire fans, they're gonna have to wait atleast 10 years, possibly more, before they get their turn again. Us waiting say, 8 years until 2029 would not be unprecedented. That's just the reality of game development that some get left behind for a bit in order for everything to match up.

The Lizardmen still have some content waiting for them, with Tetto'eko as a Legendary Lord, Chakax as a Legendary Hero, and a few missing units and dinosaurs, as well as the Dogs of War's Renow Regiment, the Raiders of Tichi-Huichi, so there's no need to worry about them.

In a recent interview, Creative Assembly mentioned that they urgently need an overhaul of their geomantic web, and quite a few players would like them to have a cycle mechanic similar to Nurgle's, as they function like that and not like civilized nations like humans.

Many Legendary Lords don't have any mechanics; for example, Mazdamundi really needs an update, as do Kroq'Gar and Gor'rok, as a priority.

The problem is that they currently have 7 Legendary Lords, while some factions only have 1 or 2, so they're not a priority...

It's a shame they didn't take the time to properly rework them with each new content release, but hey, they'll almost certainly have one in the future!

And in any case, it's always eagerly awaited by players :)

Tetto'eko would have had a great start on the Dragon Isles, but Ku'gath snatched the spot...

He still has Khuresh, who could be interesting, in search of the Lost City of the Old Ones!

Where did you get all of this?

I’d say there’s a good chance the Lizardmen get a rework before the game ends, but I’d wager the High Elves get done first (which they need almost as much).

Lizardmen are 100% getting a rework, it's wrong it wasn't given in warhammer 2 but it will come.

HE can comfortably be the 3rd wheel in this dlc needing relatively mild updates, lizardmen need a norsca level spot for heavy duty campagin map reworks and unit re-design.

I have sympathy for lizardmen mains as despite having 3 dlcs and 2 flcs have yet to ever really be prioritized.

Won't be touching lizardmen again until he gets this.

And hopefully CA drop this legendarium nonsence too and fully focus on substance instead. There is little need to do these lore, marketing only narrative DLCs when fans are dying for the content. Its just not needed.

CA can make lots of people happy by choosing the races better and seriously speed up development of IE if only they try and finish updating everythjng to a standard first.

Tetto'eko_M01.jpg

It can't be the end yet. We need this glorious model. Tetto'ekko with Loremaster and Heavens skill and I'd love to see him with the Cataclysm Heavens spell. Add in Geomantic Web rework and correctly colour coded Slann-Mage Priests to their respective Lores and I'd be happy.
