Units packs alongside Free Update Units

Would be nice if they consider doing some purchasable unit packs alongside the updates. For example in 6.2 the hobgoblin bolt thrower and the Bloodknights are coming for free but wouldn't been nice some extra cheap-purchasable lord-hero-unit pack? I think overall about the Greenskins because they still have many Lord-Hero variants (Night Goblin Great Shaman, Black Orc Warboss, Orc Chieftan, Orc Great Shaman, all savage orcs barring the Great Shaman, Forest Goblins units, lords, heros and many other unit variants) but could be anyone else who still has something to offer and may be cheap to produce, just to fullfill gaps.

I hope that they listen to this, for 3-4-5€ this could help so much people like me who likes roleplay armies or have more options around

Most races are missing more characters than they are missing units so unit packs are a waste of time.

The only races that are actually still missing actual units are:

- HE

- TK

- Skaven

- Empire

- Cathay

- Nurgle

- VC

- Tzeentch

The others only really need missing characters.

Is not about the "real missing units" because if what i said was in that direction then there won't be reason for dlcs; for example greenskins are likely not going to have more DLC but their army book is not completed yet because of the many variants they have, also CA said in the past that generic heros and lords weren't included in the free update units so the only way i see to have those variants which are nice to have because why not is doing a cheap content alongside the update so people are incentiviced in buying more meaning that you will get even more content. You have to think in a corpo way because at the end of the day they want profit and at least i'm willing to pay (expecting a fair price) for having more fun with my army composition.

I put the greenies as an example but everything that is not planned for a DLC because it is already in-game or is too generic for a DLC could be put in there, i'm thinking on the upcoming DLC, once they add Slangors they could go for the remaining marked centigors and minotaurs and make even more variants of the marked gors or else. They have the models and rigs, just change the weapon and maybe a bit of the model so it matches with the theme and there you go, cheap content but something else to play with.

You're encouraging a potentially exploitative and toxic interaction between the company and the customers. You mention communicating with a company in a language that it understands, but fail to understand the language that it speaks.

Not worth it. A few "cheap" units, which would basically kitbash, should be included for free with updates, or with a DLC with LL, more complex units, mechanism, etc. to make it larger.

There's also mods for this if you want this kinds of units.

GS, BM and Empire are the only Races that could really benefit from a generic character pack.

GS are still missing:image loaded from url
BM are missing all their Marked character variants.
And Empire still needs its 8 Wizard Lords.

I want auxiliary army units. Units that make up a small roster. Too few for a faction.

Sisters of Sigmar: (Recruited from Mordheim and Empire only)

Bertha Bestraufrung LH

Matriarch Lord

Sister Superior Hero

Augur Hero

Sisters of Sigmar dual weapons (flails and maces)

Sisters of Sigmar whip and buckler

Halflings: Recruited from the Moot, Available for Empire, DoW, Dwarfs and Ogres)

LH?

Chef / Cook hero

Halfling Spearmen

Halfling Archers

Halfling Riders

Halfling Hot Pot artillery

Kathleen Soup Tank.

Along with the Cult of Ulric led by Emil Valgeir and hopefully a Summon the Elector Counts (unique Electors) DLC this would make the Empire have quite thematic armies. Reiksmarshal Kurt Helborg LL and Ludwig Schwarzhelm LH and they would be amazing.

unit variants for sub factions, I know that some are against it for "redundancy" reasons but that is just how sub factions work, to give life to a faction by giving it (even a slim) more identity

Like having Night Goblins armed with Spears, Javelin options for Goblins/Night Goblins, and many other variants and heroes for Greenskins

Or variants for Monogors, and hopefully a new system where instead of caps being raised with Dread, Monogod Beastmen unit caps are raised via herdstone buildings
Variants of Monogor units:
Tzeentch:

Tzaangors (Axe and Shield) => (Sword and Shield)
Tzaangors (Halberds)
Tzaangors (Bows)
Bray Shaman of Tzeentch (Lore of Tzeentch and Beasts)

Nurgle:
Pestigors (Axe and Shield)
Pestigors (Great Weapons)
Pestigors (Throwing Axes)
Bray Shaman of Nurgle (Lore of Nurgle and Beasts)

Khorne:
Khorngors (Duel Axes)
Khorngors (Halberds)
Khorngors (Great Weapons)
Gorebull of Khorne

Slaanesh:
Slaangors (Duel Swords)
Slaangors (Spear and Shield)
Slaangors (Javelins)
Bray Shaman of Slaanesh (Lore of Slaanesh and Beasts)

Sorcerous Trolls, Lava Trolls, and all remaining Troll types to be added for Throgg

RORs:
Skyfires (Tzaangor Archers on Disks of Tzeentch)
Brokenhorns (Pestigor Great Axes but the use Special Scythes)
Hatebulls (Khornataurs Dual Axes but having some sort of rampage effect aoe around them)

Scions of Pleasure (Slaangors but with pincer appendages like Daemonettes, can cause poison attacks and are fast as hell)

I'd prefer to see unit variants or even regional skins than forcing a unit pack on every race. IMO, we're already suffering roster bloat and taking away from the theme of each race - every DLC now seems to be stuffed with SEMs - and, whilst I'd happily see some if they were very rare or only for a specific faction, we're at risk of just making every race behave the same.

I know that this type of consumption can lead to some toxic practices but how else do you expect to fullfill gaps in rosters than probably won't get any content in the future? Mods are a thing but I'd rather prefer something official than modded not because i dislike modders, it is just the feeling of being complete and done. I would love it for free of course but the only way i see this is by going deep into the microtransaction thing, and personally i enjoy too much Warhammer Fantasy. If this was Warhammer 40k and they start to release Space Marine chapters but leaving some stuff that won't be revisited people would agree with this (ofc a fair price) so they can feel complete or at least i expect that is what could happen.

Yes please! I so badly wanted Tzaangors that looked Avian for Tzeentch. I wanted at least the minimum.

Tzaangor Bray-Shaman with Lore of Beasts

Tzaangor Archers on Discs of Tzeentch

Tzaangors

All redesigned to look like the ones in AoS and W40K.

This would have given us a new Lore for the Tzeentch race and unique modelled caster and different stats.

Agreed. I think characters, both generic and legendary are what’s needed for a lot of races.

I think they should release at least one pack and see how it goes. Perhaps most people would be happy with the units addition.

Apart some factions, I hope we will see Characters packs.

Many factions get all their units+lords+heroes (or miss very few or some unit variants), but will lack a good bunch of LL and LH, and could get an additionnal rework.

Dwarfs, GS, LM, DE, BM, WE, Bretonnia, etc. Each of them could easily get one or even two more LL, a LH and some kind of FLC LL. But not enough for an additionnal LP imo.

Nah mate. Not remotely. Dark Elves can get plenty and need plenty.

I agree with the exception of Bretonnia which I think is in dire need of a rework or maybe some kind of new units. All the other races you mention (perhaps Lizardmen as well could use a dlc) would be good with just some LL and a slight FLC touch-up.
