all the forestry on the defensive side of the settlement is just for show, and the actual Forest Terrain is on the attacker's side, they even get a hill from which to snipe at the defending elves!

There's barely any forest on the defensive side of the wood elven minor settlement map, which makes wildwood rangers and gift of the forest(forest spirit caster ability) pretty pointless in what is supposed to be the place for the Wood elves, they're not the "Copse elves" or the "Thicket elves" for kurnous' sake.
