Same for me as Skarbrand. Got vol 1 & 2, and after about 50 turns I haven't been able to collect a single other set of books desite having it equipped. Normal campaign and battle difficulty in Immortal Empires.

Playing Arbaal 6.2 VH/VH AI sliders at middle. (No AI cheats)
Minor faction potential and new AI threat assessment both turned on.
Turn 55 I found Books of Khorne volume 1&2. From the description, I should have a 50% chance every battle with Arbaal to get another set of books.
After another 50 or so turns, fighting an average of one battle a turn with Arbaal, no new books were found. This means I fought around 50+ battles with each battle should have a 50% chance. But no new books of Khorne
There is no way the 50% chance is working properly, or the 50% chance in the item description is wrong.
Because I just wanted to explore the Books of Khorne all battles were auto resolved. Perhaps auto resolve is not properly counting once you have the first book of khorne. I got the first book of khorne by auto resolving a battle.
