Wanna ToT coming soon ... waiting is "long Time of Torment" to me.summer.png

We knew that  OoD released in Mid-December last year, if count 7.5-8months gap between DLCs, ToT will come around End of July (7.5 months) or Mid of August (8 months),  however, 3rd faction only to be announced in July, so August may be more realistic...

By the way, let's discuss what the Summer means in UK, theoretically:

1) Meteorological summer: 1 June - 31 August

2) Astronomical summer: 21 June -22 September ...

3) British Summer Time: 30 March - 26 October ... ...

Anyway, I do hope ToT can be released on 29 July (Tue) or 31 July (Thu), then we are able to expect another DLC at the end of this year...

We have to remember that they are communicating this to a wider non-British mass audience. Would September or October make sense as Summer in that sense?

Your third option is a time change to preserve daylight, it isn't an observation of what "Summer" is. It begins in Spring and ends in Autumn, as the reminder for this is "Spring Forwards Fall Back".

Ask anyone in the UK what months Summer are and 9 times out of 10 you will be told June, July and August.

Late August would be the safest bet. Keep in mind that, from what they've shown us so far, only Slanesh looks polished, so it's most likely that things got pushed back from a July to an August release for CA to get some time to iron out the details.

I'd wager the last possible date they could do it, and that's a good thing.  These guys need to use the time they have to make sure it doesn't ship as broken as OoD.

To someone from the UK it's self evident that August is Summer, but September isn't.

Therefore it'll release on the last week of August.

And while we're here, can we also drop the notion that we all get a month off for Christmas, which gets touted every year on the forum.

Middle of summer. So August or September.

Okay, if August/September is middle of summer to you, when does it end? November?

Not sure what is even the point of a thread like this, if CA wants to release the DLC in early September and still say it's releasing in summer they can do that.

Feels like we all had this exact same conversation circa SoC

We had. "Unfortunately" SoC was released end of August so we didn’t find out if CA counts September as summer.

Their marketing department is legally registered in the Diego Garcia islands in the southern hemisphere, so they actually mean the months of December, January and February. The Warhammer III content that is going to be revealed in the anniversary event is actually the release trailer for Tides of Torment.

Yeah, many believe it's still registered in Saint Helena, but that was just a publicity stunt in the anticipation of Napoleon's release.

They only believe it, because CA tried too hard and it worked.
